Innovate Engineering and Development is proud to provide consulting services for the Establishment of Jamdani Village Project at Tarabo, Rupganj, Narayanganj. This project aims to support and modernize the historic Jamdani weaving sector — one of the most valuable cultural heritages of Bangladesh.

Jamdani, a fine cotton muslin fabric enriched with artistic motifs, represents the pride and tradition of Bengal. For generations, skilled weavers from Rupganj, Sonargaon, and Siddhirganj have preserved this noble craft. Despite its historical and economic importance, the existing Jamdani market infrastructure lacks adequate facilities, research support, and modern development initiatives. Issues such as flooding during the rainy season, lack of proper sanitation, and insufficient buyer-friendly amenities have limited its growth potential.

Under this project, our consultancy scope includes architectural design, structural design, electrical and plumbing design, estimation as per PWD rates and specifications for tendering purposes, and full-time supervision. The development includes a 6-storied foundation with a 3-storied building, master planning, site planning, floor area distribution, and preparation of detailed drawings (Plan, Elevation, Section, 2D & 3D views). Monthly progress reporting and final as-built drawings will also be delivered as part of the assignment.

Through this initiative, the project aims to create a sustainable, organized, and modern Jamdani Village that will enhance market facilities, improve working conditions for weavers, and attract local and international buyers — contributing to the preservation and advancement of Bangladesh’s iconic handloom heritage.
